Product: This patchwork quilt is a zero-waste product. It is made with rain-fed, pesticide-free, naturally brown coloured cotton. The yarn is spun on ambara-charaka and the fabric is hand-woven. Leftover bits at the end of a thaan, textiles with weaving and dyeing aberrations, all come together in the hands of women who machine-sew them into a whole. The hand-quilting is done by rural women artisans. They are two-layered, with no batting inside, hence lightweight and manageable. To know more about the fabric, click here

Care: Kandu textile is pre-washed. Soak and hand-wash with mild detergent separately in cold water before using. Dry in shade. Expect a shrinkage of 3 to 4%. The play of molecules in brown cotton fibre intensifies the colour through the first few washes. The colour comes into itself over time, just as the textile softens into your skin. To know more, click here.
